Miami-DADE County Registered Contractors
By state law, County Registered Contractor Licensees are required to take 14 credit hours of Continuing Education every 2 year renewal cycle in keeping with the CE requirement for State Certified Contractors. The renewal cycle for Miami-Dade Registered Contractors ends on August 31 of ODD numbered years. Registered Licensees who hold a Miami-Dade Certificate of Competency in one of the construction trades must complete an additional 2 hours of CE for a total of 16 hours of continuing education every 2 year renewal cycle.
IMPORTANT: Miami-Dade Certificate of Competency holders cannot take all 16 hours of CE online! Miami-Dade Construction Rules Ordinances state that only 25% of your CE can be taken online. This means only 4 CE hours can be taken online. The remaining hours must be taken in the classroom format.
